Our waterjet nozzles are made from high wear resistant binderless tungsten carbide material (BLTC). We use premium nano-particle of WC virgin powder and densify at high temperature with precisely controlled processing conditions. The material has Vicker’s hardness HV1 of over 2700. We then use wire EDM to make the center hole and low speed WEDM to finish the center hole to spec with micron level of precision. The surface finish is controlled below Ra 0.8 by multiple steps of low speed EDM.
